I dig the ZVex Box of Rock. So maybe try a Distotron? I think there was one in BST...

get yourself an old Distortion+, from before they had the LED on. they were good enough for Bob Mould, Jerry Garcia, and Randy Rhoads; they're good enough for you and me, too :)

i second this! the early D+ is pretty badass, they were good enough for Rowland S. Howard too!
get one of those and mod it to true bypass, or get an EQD white light. :)

I had Mike at Rhythm and Detonation make me a box of rock clone, it rules. He hand etched the board and all that good stuff. Here is a picture of mine, he can do whatever paint color/graphic you want it's included.

Probably let you add that distotron filter to cut some bass (afaik the only differences between BOR and Distotron). I find it quite handy to have it not all that booming in the bass. The dynamic of the BOR is pretty great - didn't expect it to be that good.

I tried a Distotron when I purchased my amp at the store.
It's a great Marshallesque drive pedal... lots of option with the switches.

Distotron and Mastotron are both great pedal from ZVex.
I'm not a fan of the more expensive ZVex pedal.

The difference between the BOR and the distortron is the BOR has a clean boost which I find pretty sweet.
