not really. when i start fucking with the 'pad apss and bass at the same time i AM going to go from 4 12's for bass (which is WAY too much for how we practice, i've been running my power amp at like 1. tried just the 2x12 cab last night and it was PLENTY. i went up to THREE on the amp) to 2 12's for bass, 2 12's for snth stuff.

this is probably a dumbass question - when using them for bass i've been stacking the 12's on top of each other. shoul di stay that way when using half for bass half for synth? would they sound better separated a bit? i was thinking about figuring out a way to tilt the 2 12 cab 'cause i do like the sound coming up at my chest instead of my dick. if i do leave them stacked, bass on the bottom synth on the top?

urm.... well, i use one when it's a decent enough FOH that i just need my rig as a stage monitor, then i bring one 12 and that. the problem is i'd like to use 2 12's (i have 2 single 12 boxes and a 2x12 box) for bass and synth, but if i Stage Stand'd the separate 12's they wouldn't fit. think the top one would floop out?

Depending on how you route, the 2 single 12s could be run in stereo so synth effects that involve panning could occur.

Ouch...hadn't thought of that. I just went and looked at my stand (I have one also), and yeah...it's angled back just enough to where I'd be a little uncomfortable stacking cabs on it.

- edit - I like Delta's idea...2x12 in the middle/on the floor* for bass, single 12's on stands/on either side and spaced wide enough to get a good swirl.

* or wherever it will fit, since position won't affect the sound too much.

The expression pedal was just controlling the Xerograph sweep, which I think was the worst part of that video...wasn't really playing in time and using the best notes there.

yah. i'd kinda like to do stereo but the. i have to get another power amp. the one i'm using now is two channel, so i can run bass and syth mono.

guh. i've avoided the split amp thing with bass forever 'cause i don't want to carry hella shit. if i went with the gear i have now then for shows with shitty/no foh i'd be bringing 4 cabs, a power amp in a rack, a bg ass pedalboard for bass, a smaller (pt mini mebbe?) pedalboard for synth, the floor controller, a table or mic stand for the 'pad... getting to be ungainly. kinda want to downsize the main board to a PT-2 if i'm gonna run a synth too? i dunno.

I NEED ALL GEAR NOW AND A WEEK OFF TO FUCK WITH IT.

from here to San Jose is about an hour. not a bad drive. to Anaheim is about 6-8 depending on the sometimes gawd awful traffic.

The NHL schedule was released and there are 6 home stands for the Anaheim Ducks with at least 4 games in 7-10 days. One in March has a home and home against San Jose. It would cost a ridiculous amount of money, especially seeing as I really don't do anything else on these trips, but it's been 2 years since my last trip and I WANT TO WATCH HOCKEY LIVE. Moreso if it involves seeing Teemu Selanne one last time before he retires.
