Little Maiden story for you.
My friend used to have a job as a barman in the Freedom And Firkin pub in Paris and the Maiden boys were there recording (I think as they have a few times).
They used to come in quite often and were on mates birthday.
Anyway to cut a long story short Bruce got up on the bar and sung him happy birthday as only he could.
I would have loved to have heard his rendition.
When I went to visit him I met Janick Gers (super nice bloke) but alas no Bruce.
As far as tunes I have always loved Powerslave...Eye of Horus and all that!

Saw Maiden here in Charlotte last week and it RULED MY BALLS. Number of the Beast (the song) is fucking so huge. 14K people sell-out. I love them but still couldn't believe that.

14k was the turnout for the ATL show, too. Bruce said it was a record for them in Atlanta. And they did Number of the Beast when I saw them too. In fact, they played ALL old stuff. So, so good

Heart of the Sunrise
My bass teacher had it all written out. These two guys had transcribed it and sent it to Chris Squier, who okay-ed it and put it on his website, I dunno if it's still there, but I will never loose that sheet music.

I taught myself how to play guitar using only this:

I love Iron Maiden to this day. Some stuff not as much, but the first 2 albums are unequalled. Sheer menace from Di'Anno, with THAT band? Total win. Powerslave is by far my fave Bruce record though. Packed with awesome.
