Re: DI recording
Every guitar tone I've recorded recently was with the rusty box running the di seems to work well.

Re: DI recording
Yeah the Rusty Box has intrigued me, didn't know how well it would work for guitar though.
So right now I'm considering putting money towards a preamp with DI outs
or
Putting my money towards a new Macbook and using Logic's amp modeling along with my pedals

Re: DI recording
i wrote it somewhere else already (but don't find it anymore): i had good results with a tube-based pedal driving a behringer DI Box with 4x12 speaker sim. My normal pedal board was in front. The tube based pedal added that amp-ish character to all.

What's a rusty box?
I might have several of them already...

Re: DI recording
Well I tried direct in through my mixer and was not blown away the fuzz just seemed to lose its balls and there was a definite top end sizzle and getting rid of it with the eq on the mixer made everything sound muffled
I wish it was next Friday and I could get my paycheck, I'd spring for that Magma pre in bst.
