The phaser I mentioned sounds like a broken wah pedal. I use it for noise solos.

I want what you just described.

theSyle Green Filter. Doesn't work well as a filter, amazing as a crazy synth.
Also, Way Huge Ringworm. Carrier leakage was pissing me off but I found an application for it. Now I use it with random LFO and distortion after it for noisy outro in one song.
And I think Slicer would fit in this list too.

I assumed he was referring to the DOD Buzz Box, which is basically a DOD Grunge into an MXR Blue Box.

Mine might be an odd one and there's probably crazier things out there, but you can get those for $10 at guitar center and I still think the peak of it is nasty harsh (and it's not just the video, it sounds like that).

Not gimmicky at all, but kinda weird nonetheless, I use my Rainbow Machine so much I've been told to stop.

I have one of these on my board too and it's indispensable...I never thought of it as gimmicky.

You're abolutely right PumpkinPieces, what's gimmicky to one may be just what another was looking for.

These days, I want to try just about anything with a clean blend

Maybe this isn't strange or gimmicky to the rest of you, but I find myself using my Pog2 all the time. You can get very basic octave sounds or ugly digital sounds.
It's great for volume swells, walls of octaves, and detuned ugliness. At the same time, I use it for bass-like tones, a simple volume boost, 12 string imitation, and organ sounds. Cycling through the presets makes for an interesting synth sound with fuzz going before or after it.

Yeah, the DOD Buzz Box. With the octave on about 2-3 it's pretty neat and not total shit on guitar and bass. It sounds like a multitrack which is great!

That actually sounds really cool! Must check GC next time I'm there!
