It's funny, I never list NIN as one of my favorite bands. But they are probably one of the two or three biggest influences on the music I write. Every time I write something, all I can think of is "God, that sounds exactly like NIN". And Downward Spiral ruled my life when I came out. I was 15, depressed as fuck, and basically locked myself in my room with that CD for a year straight.
Ghosts is awesome! The Downward Spiral was the first I heard from NIN; it blew my mind and completely changed my outlook on music, but The Fragile is my favourite. Listening through the whole thing is an incredible experience.
I love me some NIN! Wouldn't neccessarily count them in my Top 5 but everytime I listen to some of their albums I am costantly blown away. Fixed is a favourite of mine. Something so dark and sinister about some of those remixes. Think it's the Coil influence
Downward Spiral is a spectacular album too. Such emotion, heartache and rage all mashed together. Also The Slip is pretty cool too imho. Love those fuzz tones!

fuck yeah NIN. they're weird because if i spend the time to think about it the 5 most influential (if we're counting from when we were lil' kickens) bands/musicians for me would be Bjork, Aphex Twin, Primus, NIN and Squarepusher. but i always forget NIN when asked.
if we were going a bit bigger list mine'd for sure include Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Autechre, Funkstorung, Venetian motherfucking SNARES, mebbe early Korn and early Incubus (even though they're both kinda not my cup of tea flavored beverage now).

one of these days when i can afford to drive around more we REALLY should get together and do something raucous with me on guitar. i LOVES the EDM, used to DJ in SF a bit back around the turn of the century, and lately have been listening to Chain Reaction-style Berlin techno and early Aphex whenever i'm not listening to OK Computer and The Fall.

Dude, Behndy, we have to figure out a way to hang out. Whenever I'm asked to describe the music that we make, I always say it's a mix of NIN, Autechre and a pinch of Orbital. I think we could get along just fine.
I'm lonely.. Just can't seem to find any girl worth a damn; or anyone that's remotely interested in me for that matter. And when I actually met a few girls that fit the bill, there was no chemistry so we just stayed friends and it's awesome like that. But I'm a cuddly fucker god dammit Dunno.. it's just been bugging me lately. Pretty much fixed everything in my life, and that's the only thing I kinda miss from time to time. Eh..

Chiefy - DO IT. Erukus might be crashing out here for a hinute when he's on his travely travel thinger. YOU SHOULD COME AND MAKE IT A DIRTY ILF SLEEPOVER.
Alexa - i'm sorry meng. that's always hard. i feel you. i'm married, so the Looking For A GrrL is all sewn up, but my layday spends way too much time out country. so i know your I Just Want Somebody In Bed With Me feel.

Ghosts is probably my favorite. I used to like NIN a lot but once I got into stuff like Throbbing Gristle the band lost it's appeal to me. I think I like ghosts the most because I don't have to listen to Reznors angsty teen lyrics.

I had the chance to cuddle with someone this weekend for the first time in a few months and it's been occupying my mind ever since. I want to feel that close to someone again so badly.
