King Khan is awesome. Have you seen him live? Definitely worth going to!

In other news: In a couple of hours I will get surgery and two teeth pulled out. Turns out the health care doesn't pay for the full anesthesia unless it's for children, mentally disabled or a medical necessity. So I have to invest all my money for the rest of the month into getting knocked out for an hour. On the bright side it might mean a couple of days with painkiller meds. And my favorite co-worker picks me up from the doctor, because out of legal reasons they won't let you go unless you have someone to pick you up and help you on your way home. Dunno, painkillers and cute co-worker vs being broke and in pain.

The financial aid officer at the school I applied to is useless. I called, trying to get information on where to send my fucking counsilor's appeal form for FAFSA, and she was useless. She tried to get me off the line as quickly as she could, and I didn't even have the opportunity to try to work out my possibilities to pay for college.

I'm completely crushed right now, because I thought that might be my chance at figuring out my future for the next few months.

Sometimes it feel like that to me anyway. :idk:

Wow, have my mom at home over the summer now that she's done teaching school is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge buzzkill. On her first day of vacation she was already in a hyperactive, cabin fever, lets-clean-everything-in-the-house kind of mood. I need to find some place to go during the day other than the bar. I'll spend way too much money that way.

still haven't heard back from the folks who said they were going to schedule an on-site interview with me to follow up the phone interview last week. i'm starting to worry they decided that they don't like me because of my wackadoodle samples.

I'm still fucking awake, it's going to be disgustingly hot tomorrow, and I'm on solo dad duty both morning and night. Oh, and I'm starting to freak out about the fact that I was laid off two weeks ago, and don't have any freelance gigs in the door yet. Fuck.

Oh wow, holy shit dude, I'm sorry! I didn't know you were laid off, that totally sucks. We should go grab lunch soon. I'm working nights the rest of this week if you're around ...

Ha... yeah, I can't remember who I've told and who I haven't. Half of the company was let go... of course, we were a startup, so that was three of us plus a contractor. But the timing was sucktastic. I'll email you about setting something up.

I'm really stressed about a dozen things, and I think it's causing me to lose my fucking mind.

Why can't I just have shit easy? Parents who give a damn, not having fucked myself over in high school, friends I can depend on to talk to about real issues, mental health that isn't on constant ups and downs.

I just need to keep positive and make some art whenever I get too worried about shit. This glitch art stuff is such a good medium for me right now, because being able to record a short video and then intentionally fuck it up is really wonderful.

My teeth are killing me.

Waking up was pretty cool as the dude told me, "Hey we gave you some morphine so you will still feel a little euphoric for a while" And I was all like hell yes! So I tried to hit on the nurse. But now I can't even remember how she looked like or if she was anywhere in my age range. Haha. Well, but after all it wasn't my cute co-worker, that picked me up but a buddy of mine. Which was fine, but I would have preferred the female touch of course.
