You know - IE pedals look really amazing to me. The design is just perfect in the sense of controls placement, font, everything... functionalist - yes... but better than most pedals that are trying to look cool
I make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique

I actually enjoy 50s-60s soviet bloc style designs (sorry dubkitty ), and the animu stuff is pretty neato keen...though I'd rather see more 70/80s Cpt. Harlock/Akira style and a little less Ikkitousen but whatever. My dream pedal would look like a 50s cold war instrument panel.

Give me something with in single or 2 colour on non gloss black, stainless or non-lame colour.
Screenprinted (not stickers) - there are a few exceptions to this rule.
Use fonts and simple stylised images that work together.
No photos!
No attempted drop shadows for sure. Trying to use every colour in the spectrum is a no-no too.
Make sure the dials match the feeling.
Can't go wrong with that really.

If I'm going to be spending triple digits on ANYTHING, it better look nice. This applies to pedals as well.

Absolutely.
I am more interested in the color scheme and overall aesthetic than the actual artwork most of the time. Sometimes the novelty/rarity is cool but I buy pedals to step on, not to sit on the shelf and be gawked at...if it sounds good enough, I overlook bad art design choices.
Simple and clean would be my preference. Would I still love the way my green bubble font muff looked if it didn't sound amazing?
Special low-frequency version.

I've always found Boca to be hit or miss. I didn't grow up here, so it's all kinda newish to me to begin with. but yeah bro, Busch Gardens is awesome, especially when you can walk there from your apartment :thumb:
