Re: Best amp for my Jazzmaster?
Depending on how loud you need and how much cash you want to drop, look at the Fender Mustang III. Yea, I know, solid state and all but it sounds decent, generally works well with pedals, and if I didn't already have a Deluxe and Jazz Chorus running in stereo, I'd grab one in a heartbeat.
More expensive and heavier options range from the Hot Rod Deluxe (not a bad amp at all, but the drive channel is an acquired taste. I don't flip mine on much, but I have enough pedals to sink a battleship), Deluxe Reverb, Twin, or the venerable Bassman/Bandmaster head/cab combos.
Pretty much any of those will get you to stupid loud, clean, and sound decent doing so and won't suck with pedals.

I vote for the Deluxe Reverb.

I sent a Mustang III packing because whenever I hit the front end too hard with pedals I thought it sounded thin and terrible. I'd go any of those other Fender options if you're using pedal dirt.

I use an AC15 C1 with a Jazzmaster and it sounds sweeeeeeet
Obviously it's a 15 so it's not loud but it's loud enough and when I play shows I'm miced anyway. It's such a pretty sounding amp.

AC15's are pretty damn loud.

This is the best thing you can do, don't listen to anyone else but your own taste interns of what sound you like or not. Also take your guitar.

Re: Best amp for my Jazzmaster?
If you're in the city, I was just at Ludlow Guitars the other day, and they had this awesome little amp that one of their in-house guys designed and built himself. Plus, you know, all of the other amazing stuff they have in there. The in-house one was a little red tolex'ed 1x10 or 1x12 combo if memory serves. And Main Drag always looks like amp heaven to me. Happy hunting and welcome to the board. You playing out in the city? Will keep an eye out for you. That stuff on your bandcamp is gorgeous.
(I don't know tons of amps, but I feel like my Fender Blues Deluxe could grab a lot of the tones you've described. Certainly handles pedals really well.)

AC15's are pretty damn loud.
Yeah I've given up on mine being the apartment amp I was hoping for.
But your music is beautiful, and I'm gonna vote for a Deluxe Reverb. Great amps. I'm trying to trade my ac15 for one as we speak. Or maybe an Ampeg Superjet! Pretty small amps, but they're 50 tube watts and they've got a great clean tone.

aw man stealin my thunder! you said exactly what i was going to say. i third the motion of a fender deluxe reverb or an ampeg superjet if you can find one. i have them both (although my tweed deluxe reverb reissue hasn't been functioning the last few years - entirely my fault for being so rough with it), and they are both great amps for cleans and take overdrive pedals wonderfully, and both are very easy to carry around.
here's a song recorded with jazzmaster into tweed deluxe, mostly clean, a little bit of a cheap dod overdrive.

maybe consider old bassman combos too, or old traynor combos... so many options!
