Yeah sorry I misspoke, really I just need a really good volume control, so I can play at REALLY LOW volumes.

I posted this at tgp and all I got was a bunch of people giving me shit for saying master.

Some amps I feel like the volume knob does nothing from 0-2.

Gotcha! I have no suggestions then since that rests on actually having played an amp for more than a few seconds :(

Wait is that true? I've heard such wildly varying accounts of this.

Losing volume would actually help for the 1x12 apartment application, my 4x12 would be fine with 4ohm for bringing the pain.


Also has anyone tried the Mesa DC-5? There's one available locally in my price range and it seems like it might work for what I'm trying to do.
