Yah me too, mostly because I don't have alot of spare change so to look would just hurt me, also since I recently started building my own pedals, and buying records. Priorities, I got em.
i've been less into the builder forums because i'm broke, but also because over time i've found that a lot of the stuff i was interested no longer fits with what i need. in particular, i'm up to my tootelum in fuzz. the things i feel like i really need aren't things that the forum builders make.

just watching the live version of the new album recorded in Köln... even the weaker songs seem to work live somehow and i kinda dig Klinghoffer even though Frusciante was dope
with RHCP it's kinda hit or miss for me when it comes to their songs but when it's a hit, it really works for me and one could say they CAN inspire me with the right songs damn - they got me into funky rhythm guitar!
I have not liked any of the newer material I've heard from them.
Did Anthony Kiedis just turn into Freddie Mercury???
But, what I was going to originally post: I have an oscillating fuzz and a Ruiner that I'm using right now EXCLUSIVELY for the outro of one song that only involves the oscillation being modified by turning on/off different pedals and fiddling with the guitar's volume knob.
I can't decide is this guy is is anxious or has a stomach ache :s

I constantly have to fight the urge to modify or refinish my instruments. I'm broke as shit but still planning out projects. Even if I can't play it and the time would be better spent practicing, I feel like I have to personalize it and make it "mine". Otherwise it's just "a guitar" or whatever. I wouldn't want anything so rare or valuable that I'd be afraid to carve into it.

i like SOME of it (a lot from Stadium actually), however i DO see the new one as the weakest one
Yeah, I was just referring to whatever their new album is called. Stadium was decent, it just didn't need to be a double album and they could have trimmed out quite a bit of fat IMO, y'know?

when i get band tracks i feel like Jesus' son. when i do vocals i want to cut my head off and bury it in an abandoned uranium mine somewhere in the recesses of Nevada.

Lol. My comfort zone is 50-68. My girlfriend's comfort zone is 74-86. Guess who wins.
After that... very difficult... guess... picture me typing this with ice-packs on my shoulders and on my lap.
