it basically gives you a midi controller that plays like a bass. and IS a bass. so you can send out bass audio like a normal bass, or midi data. which would let you control in real time hard/soft synths the same way as you would with a midi keyboard. but with a bass.

the traditional way to control synths with a bass is to add a audio -> midi conversion thing between the bass and the synth. but those are almost always super fiddly and unreliable. the Radio basses work by reading eavh fret presses as a key press (basically), so there is no latency added to sending midi note data and bad tracking leading to wrong notes isn't an issue.

kimda want one. but in a fanned sixer.

And I'm not a synth person....it does seem like this is the way the future is going to bring it....looks like it's too soon for me to make the switch. And....I could sell everything and afford the bass....but that's it. So I think I'm out still cool to look at, though.

It's like....I want to go this route....but I'm more for the anal log stuff. Mesa rock most of the time, every now and then work the Goatkeeper, Megalith, or Faye's Her into it. I'm sure a laptop could get me close to the Polytope and Timeline....but I just don't see it replacing those three bad boys. Which I would need it to just to afford the bass.

But can I get my anal log in your bleepy-bloopycore? :hobbes:

I have no clue about any of the Midi stuff. It makes my head spin like 11 strings.

Yeah, or it can be run parallel with a clean bass(or bass with effects), through a mixer, Bi amped.
