Radiohead in Concert

Post by MannequinRaces »

Awesome show last night in Cincinnati! :thumb: My first Radiohead concert and I wasn't disappointed (just wish I had pavilion seats instead of lawn seats but...)! I'm inspired to work on my drum programming and buy some maracas, lol. Here's the setlist:

mmmmm. I would still see Radiohead despite King of Limbs. Saw them right after Amnesiac in Chicago. It was INCREDIBLEEE

Two encores?

Decadent.

Still wish I'd been there. They are skipping Perth on their Australian tour; I'm not sure if they hate their fans or money; It'd be a sell-out show.

I saw them last Friday in Newark. Best show I've ever seen. The lights were fantastic, and goddamn there were so many great surprises!

Finally got to hear Kid A, Pyramid Song, The Gloaming, Idioteque, How to Disappear Completely, and Paranoid Android live. Go To Sleep was a great surprise as well. I love the new TKOL stuff live too, and Clive (the second drummer for the tour) is helping out big time.

Can't wait to see them again in the future.

Got some cool video.

I'd rather see them on this tour, mostly. In Rainbows is/was a snoozefest. Rest of the show was dope though:

1. Reckoner
2. Optimistic
3. There There
4. 15 Step
5. Kid A
6. Nude
7. All I Need
8. The Gloaming
9. National Anthem
10. Videotape
11. Jigsaw Falling Into Place
12. The Bends
13. Faust Arp
14. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
15. Everything In Its Right Place
16. Exit Music (for a film)
17. Bodysnatchers

Encore 1
18. House of Cards
19. I Might Be Wrong
20. Paranoid Android
21. A Wolf at the Door
22. How To Disappear Completely

Encore 2
23. Cymbal Rush
(Thom Yorke cover)
24. Karma Police
25. Idioteque
good deals are here.

Like Aen, I saw them after Amnesiac, and it was one of the 5 best concerts I've ever been to.

Here's the setlist from that night:

The National Anthem
Airbag
Morning Bell
Lucky
Knives Out
Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box
No Surprises
Dollars & Cents
Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Pearly*
Just
I Might Be Wrong
Pyramid Song
Paranoid Android
Idioteque
Everything In Its Right Place
Encore:
Like Spinning Plates
Talk Show Host
You and Whose Army?
The Bends
Encore 2:
Karma Police
The Tourist

The songs that blew me away that night were The National Anthem (fucking amazing way to start the show), Pyramid Song (Thom really nailed this one) and Like Spinning Plates (totally unexpected and beautiful, this was before I knew what the fuck this song was going to sound like live, before they put out that live EP)

I loved that they had two drummers and then you had Thom playing maracas on some songs for a total of three percussionists. Pretty sweet. Wish I could relive the concert, just so much going on and the lights and video screens they had setup were sweet. Probably the best I've seen along with NIN. I'm tempted to drive to Cleveland and see them again tonight but don't think that's going to happen.

I was really hoping and wishing they'd play Like Spinning Plates (might be my favorite) and Trans-Atlantic Drawl (not sure if it's ever been played live before). But nonetheless awesome show.

Cool to hear other ILFers have seen Radiohead and had good experiences. :joy:

Sweet! That's a show that's been bouncing around in my head all week. Definitely left an impression on me. I can't wait to see them again.

I know what you mean. I was seriously thinking about driving to Cuyahoga Falls the next morning. If I knew I could have scored a decent ticket I really would have done it too.

Man that's crazy. I was considering driving to Cuyahoga Falls myself! I looked on Ticketmaster and could have bought a single seat in the pavilion (pretty close to the front) but ended up not going (didn't feel like driving seven hours that day). Sure was tempting though!

They debuted a new song last night...it's quite killer! Very breakbeat jazz electronica in the middle.
