No I am not, I see what you said as overly simplistic for real world sounds [you should know this as you play acoustic instruments so much..]. Just as I see this [topic] as over simplistic for real world function..

well, if it's on the internets it MUST be true. i must have magical, socket tightening breath then. no wonder all the laydays are a tight fit. yay!

I can't confirm everything in that video, but I can definitely confirm that blowing in your carts WILL fuck them up worse in the long-term, because you are definitely blowing saliva all over the contacts, and they will corrode.

the border between synthetic and real world sounds is a matter of technological progression. its not a fundamental border, its just a point we haven't reached yet.

right now there are just still some sounds that are easier to achieve in the real world, so to speak.

True. and sadly [or not depending on your point of view] fuzz and GOOD OD falls into that. You can still beat out most guitar distortion modeling with a pedal direct with some good EQing.

I mean look dude, I LOVE software based stuff! I love the control! but for me the "it has to work and sound right" is more important then anything else. I have spent so much time making stuff work that I have a very short amount of patience for anything.. and when you have SO much useless guitar modeling software out there that sounds like shit but is I guess great for the lazy or uncaring fools that the whole thing pisses me off for the most part.. It is just so boring [sounding] there is no life to it.

I sincerely hope this works out. I mean, the concept sounded really awesome when it was first announced, but the goal seemed unreachable; now it seems everything is in its right place (so far, at least for planning) and I can't wait to hear/see some progress. I still have my doubts, but hopefully it gets released! P.S. those new regular pedal redesigns are snazzy.

Well... in 12 days we've raised $10,400 and we still have 18 days to go... in other words we've raised half the money in about 1/3 of our allotted time. :)

With that kind of progress I hardly call the $20k goal unreachable.

Also, I haven't even reached out to retailers yet, plus more pedal makers and developers are getting on board, and we should have physical prototypes of the final cartridge within the next few weeks... and the more people we get on board + seeing the actual cartridges + design specs... well, I think we'll make it. :)

Plus you gotta give the concept credit that in the dead of summer people are willing to lay down their hard earned lettuce for a cool fx concept rather than a cool hotel stay at the beach! :D

Even so, regardless if the kickstarter succeeds, the Console WILL be developed. Once again, the kickstarter is the difference between a big launch this year, or a slow launch over the next few years.

Glad you like the new designs! I've been aiming for something simple that we can begin screen printing and finally get away from the vinyl stickers once and for all on the main production pedals. :)

hence it being the ideal/ultimate. i know we're not there yet dude (though personally i enjoy the compression of my multifx fuzz. sounds like Sharrock)

Me too. :(

Though the idea is still not off the table, and even if we only did a limited run sometime in the future, I'd like to! :thumb:

Obviously it's yours to have back whenever you need it. :)

... and I'll get Ken to trace out the ID this week, and we'll ship it back next Monday regardless. Make sure to send charlotte@deviever.com an email with your return shipping.
