i was sorting through CDs today because i had to sell stuff to cover an overdraft, and almost sold the Silver Mt. Zion discs but kept them after lingering over the beginning of the first album. i used to play the recitatif and strings from track 2 here in my ambient DJ sets. this record goes so well with my weary, broken, desolate search for hope i can hardly stand it.

i've been out of the habit of listening to music at home forever, but going through CDs to sell made me think "well, if i'm going to haul these things around with me, oughn't i listen to them?" so i listened to some old Carl Craig/Psyche BFC techno, Bowie at the Beeb, and then got on this Cornershop record, which i love to pieces and haven't listened to in ages.
