He might become a younger Timberlake. In which case he might be worthy of some respect. Or he might be a younger "insert name of every other boyband member from 15 years ago". Timberlake is the only one out of that mass of boy bands that came out in the 90s that showed afterwards that he has some actual talent.
Of course, the real reason I like Timberlake is because he showed from his SNL stuff and the Lonely Island stuff that he has a really good sense of humor, and he doesn't take himself overly seriously. I like it when "stars" can have some fun at their own expense.

I wouldn't say that I want to listen to one of his records over and over and over again,...but I worked with a bunch of females that were always listening to Justin Timberlake and I can remember a few of the songs being catchy.
My reality is that I just can't be bothered with slagging on and hating on other musicians, artists and performers anymore. A colder more callous me would have at one point in time,...but I'm not the same person I was. I can admit that It doesn't do anything for me; I don't like it; not listen to it and I'm fine with leaving it at that.

exactly. he could end up as a reasonably OK pop star, or he could wind up as Andrew Ridgely. though there was the guy from the US boy band whose name i can't recall who, defying all odds, turned out to be a halfway decent actor.

Wait, when did Donnie do anything to show he had talent? Mark is a decent actor, I'll give you that, but he was a lame hip-hop artist, which is subtlely different from the lame boy band member.
IDK, I know Donnie was in one or two of the SAW movies...I think I have seen him in other stuff...OH yeah, he was in the 6th Sense. He has done TV stuff too. I am not saying he is great, I just thought DubKitty was referring to him.

This. I'm actually happy for the Biebs and how much poon he must be getting. But that dude should just get a vasectomy already. He don't need anymore supposed baby-mamas popping up.
I think Top 40 music is 10x better than it was ~7-15 years ago. At least people like Lady Gaga etc. are pulling from cool house/dance music etc. not the annoying white-boy smooth R'n'B stylings of the Backstreet Boys *insert nylon string guitar solo*. It's still not very interesting, but much less annoying.
