Word. I can't imagine it would be all too different.
But part of me wants to throw it on and be like "what album is this even maaaan?"
But that's kinda how I feel about any remaster.

Re: Dopesmoker Remaster
I think it's a matter of do you want a third.
The original kicks enough ass as-is.
Personally, I like it when a band makes and album and that is the definitive version yknow? Like fuck everything else. No remastering, no remixing, no concern should ever be retroactively applied to the music thats there, the album should just be the album, the songs the songs. If you weren't happy with them when you realeased them, why'd you release them?

Well, if it promises to be clearer & louder, of course I want it.

Re: Dopesmoker Remaster
From the "what you just got thread"
Finally, I think this is the first version that Al & Chris signed on for as well as Pike. The Tee Pee version wasn't cleared with them, IIRC. Also, I think the Tee Pee one is out of print.
But, yeah, you definitely don't need this if you've got the other reissue.
D.o.S. wrote:The fidelity differences between this and the Tee Pee version are middling--there's less separation between the guitar tracks, and the drums are slightly quieter. The Holy Mountain live track is decent.
But I have it on cd, finally, and I only paid five bucks for it new.
Also, the album art is awesome.
