SO at the time I play a Dano Wild Thing but lately I discovered the Hodad and have decided I must own one. However there are a few things I'd like to change on it but are a tad weary of how to do so. My first question is if Danelectro necks are switchable with other Dano necks, because the neck on the Hodad seems a bit longer than the necks on other models. My second question is if the vinyl tape around Dano models can be painted as easily as the bodies.
My plan in whole is to have a white bodied Hodad, with black knobs and black lipstick pickups, a white neck with a black Danelectro decal, and black vinyl tape.
It will costs some money, but that is not the issue. I'm just not too knowledgeable about customizing guitars.
