Fuzz Face / Tonebender advice

Hey! I miss my Fuzzy Lady a bit but the reason I sold it are still good.
-Too dark for my amp.
-No regular 9V input (I hate dealing with battery).

What you guys would recommends to replace it?
I want a bias knob for that static weird gated sound…
And something that work great when you lower the fuzz and increase the volume (sputtery overtones).

Might be a Fuzz Face or a Tonebender.

The only thing I have in mind is the EQD Dirt Transmitter (but not sure that’s what I want).

I’m not ready to purchase this right now… for later.

Seems like the Dirt Transmitter would be right there, but you really have a lot of options around price range. So many people make FF & Tonebender based pedals (for good reason). If you're handy, maybe just build yourself a FF with bias knob. I made one for Ryan a couple years ago and it sounded great.

I tried one 2 years ago.
That's not what I'm looking for.
You cannot crank the volume and lower the fuzz like a real Fuzz Face or a Tonebender.

Have you tried the latest incarnation of the MJM London Fuzz and London Fuzz II? they come with a bias knob now.

Just watch a video (look like the bias knob is inside the pedal )... that's not it, Dirt Transmitter is closer to what I want.

No no, the new ones have a third knob for bias, the knob is not hidden inside the pedal, they are very new so it's difficult to find videos on youtube.

Not saying this will do the Fuzzy Lady style velcro gated sound you are looking for (I had one, I know what you are talking about), but if you wants sputtery overtones without getting super heavy on the fuzz/gain and want something with a fuzz face style sound, I have a Solidgold FX Formula 69 for sale. It might not get totally gated but it definitely does the sputter and gets really hairy on the edges while maintaining the tone and clarity of your guitar.

It would love to temp trade you some stuff to check out but that won't work
If you have bit of audio stuff which represents the sound you have in mind, i might chime in with suggestions.
Right now i would say: Ian at Ghost Effects should make you a 4K Mind Rocker (FF)
I personally really dig the FF and MKI stuff (in general). MKI on low settings is just gorgeous (splattery dynamic fuzz). FF is more in the higher gain settings at home - at least for my taste.

No, I really want that fuzzface/tonebender mkI kind of woody vibe.
I already own a FuzzHugger(fx) AB-Synth 5k which is a lot better than the Fuzz Factory.

I will listen to some Ghost Mind Rocker demos tonight when I'll be home.

The Dirt Transmitter will do most of what you're looking for.
The controls are pretty interactive, so when you lower the bias or the fuzz, you affect the tone as well...not sure I've quite mastered it yet, and I never really use it for low-gain applications. It does sputter really well, and I've actually found the over-biased tones to sound great too--absolutely huge.
I do find it to sound pretty dark with my amp though...
