I love when people say something about anything I post in any thread; it feels like validation for my existence.

I also love when people besides me use semi-colons.

I've been listening to Slipknot. And enjoying it.

I actually don't mind some of their music. I just hate the masks and jumpsuits shit. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO epic cheese.

Their first two records have some seriously tasty riffs. I could go either way on the jump suits, but for the places they've been playing the last decade (...jesus...) theatricality makes sense.
good deals are here.

This. I really dug their first two records when they came out.

I went to set up an appointment for my next tattoo, yesterday.

i'm not mad for their music, but i really like the massive-percussion thing they've adapted from industrial music. any time an extreme new texture becomes popular, i think it's a Good Thing because it expands the total available vocabulary. i REALLY think the world needs more bands with two basses that play contrapuntally or in different registers with a single guitar over the top.

Totally agree with you, there need to be more bands doing different things to 'normal' band setups, and I quite like how slipknot have loads of percussion but don't love their music.

BTW, Andy Rehfeldt (the guy that made Wait and Bleed - Radio Disney) is totally worth subbing to. It's a happy day when I come home and find a metal version of a Britney Spears song.

i kind of like sweating my ass off in summer. especially after a long winter. my apartment has gotten up to 86 degrees so far. the only problem is trying to sleep in it.
