ah i see. unrelated, but I bet a pedalboard with like 10 of those looks adorable.

Yeah, that's why this line of pedals is called the "no knobber" line. Someone over at The Gear Pages thinks I should trademark the phrase.

Yeah, Mudfuzz, I was impressed with both the pedal and your playing on bass. At one point it kinda sounded like you were bowing the bass.
Thanks to kevinhifi for the building the pedal and Mudfuzz for making the demos.

You're welcome. I mentioned that I was kicking around the idea of an octave to add to the no-knobber line and got instant enthusiasm from some members here...much more so than the crickets I usually get over at The Gear Page ;)

I've got one of these incoming, just wondered if there's any tips on placement as all the demos online are either solo or pre-fuzz. Ive never owned an analog octave up (fuzz or non), will it still add a nice spluttery octave up after dirt/synth/digital pitch shifters? I'm hoping to have it quite late on my board to add an extra :!!!: to intensify things.
Can't wait!

It sounds cool later on but personally I like it up front to add textures into the other pedals, but that is more or a that's what sounds I like thing…I still love this pedal :thumb:

Try it all around your signal chain. I like pedals like this sandwiched between dirt. It'll sound crazier after dirt and more "subtle" before it.

That makes complete sense. Ok so I'll start out with it post flex, blue box, synth wah, molecule, but pre noise floor and df2. The one demo of the flex xs on YouTube kicks in a purple octopus pre flex about halfway through, which is thought was a bit odd considering the way pll's work.

I wonder how it will work post modulation. Can't wait!
