Lol the pedal from the other thread, I wonder what's inside... probably nothing exciting but I haven't heard a demo of it yet.

Thanks for the link, I had it somewhere but couldn't remember where.

His super duper that only goes to 3600? I want my clone to at least go over 9000.

Someone said he's claiming these designs as his own. He never did that. These are straight ZVEX clones and he admits it. He does it how he wants, and I think everyone needs to get the hell out of his post and let him do business. Unless he's broken the rules, then you need to all let him do business however he wants, without ruining his thread. I think moderators need to split this post and pull out all the bullcrap posts.

The website isn't hard to find either. You guys just wanted to jump on him, before doing any research. Wouldn't you google something if someone else came in selling something you hadn't heard of?

tl;dr version: Let the man do business and get out of his thread. You don't like his practices, don't buy them.

That's quite an thought provoking answer...

He isn't claiming these as his own no, he's out right lying about them being better versions than the origina's which I highly doubt they are, and he charges high prices at that.

If he wants to do business let him do it locally or on ebay, not spread it on a forum for another makers pedals (devi if you didn't know) I don't sell mine here even though I could if I wanted, out of respect.

And I respect many small business men, this guy who drops his name without even checking the forum I do not in the slightest.v

It just feels like he's is spam, do the marketing properly and come up with something original, that or charge a decent price to entice, I can't justify him, I've just offered to build for the parts and a few beers...

Of course I know this is devi's forum. And whether or not these pedals are any better cannot be proven. And his prices are still less than that of Vex.

He's free to do his business here, unless he ends up breaking some rule or Devi takes offense.

I really like Devi's pedals but its a shame the community around her is full of such meanspirited people. I'm not surprised that no new people stay around here.

"branding-wise," i really got pissed off when Diamond pedals made Diamond Skeleton change its name: so a dude in another country making remotely different, very un-boutique like, EXTREMELY reasonably priced, very awesome pedals gets sued becuz his pedals had the word "Diamond" in it? does Diamond Pedals own hold the trade-mark to the word "Diamond" globally?

Damien Hirst probably had a better legally claim against Diamond Skeleton than Diamond pedals.

So yeah i am not buying Diamond pedals ever & i really could give a rats what dude is passing off his Zvex clones as.

Yeah we're all mean spirited.

Just because a couple of people make a few comments, doesn't mean we're all assholes. We respect free speech here, and if someone wants more info/sound clips, thinks this guy went about selling his pedals the wrong way or if they think its just fine to sell his pedals the way he does then that's fine by me. I hope you understand.

On the other hand, I think if we were more open this probably would've turned out a bit more pleasing and i wouldn't be surprised if he hated our guts.

But if I were him I'd make some half way decent demos and come back and say "here you go bitches, told you my pedals were awesome."

I'd really like that.

I just sent him (Paul) an E-mail, asking him to come and participate.
I also asked him to take the criticism as constructive.
Hopefully He will be better at that than I am.

Anyway as soon as I get a response I'll let every one know.

i'm sorry, but i completely disagree...
imo, the general response to this thread has been pretty reasonable
i think this community is one of the best ones out there, i've been here a while know, i don't post a lot, but i've been following this place for a long time, and this place's general response has not fit my definition of mean-spirited at all

im with this guy^
ive been on too many forums to name, wanna see some mean spirited jerks? check out the old MF boards (if they're still up...) or the old FGF ones, those guys would run you out of town for saying something against a product they liked (ibanez in my case lol)
ive argued with so many folks on here its not even funny, ive offended countless people as well and yet i remain and people seem not hate me!
idk about no new people sticking around that just seems so far from any kind of truth
