So I need some dance albums recommendations...

Post by wsas3 »

This kid in my school who I've recently made friends with is pretty funny. He's the sole embodiment of a 90's yuppie, except cool. Does mad coke and wears boat shoes and open shirts and listens to 90's dance music and, well.... I like the music. Can anybody recommend some good dance albums? If they're new, so be it, I just want some good dance music to listen to.

^That.
Daft Punk's everything, Justice's first album is good, but I don't know about the new one.
Try Groove Armada and Paul Van Dyk also, they have a few good songs.

Daft Punk changes drastically from album to album. I really recommend Homework or Alive '97 if you're looking for more 90's house type stuff.

Girl Talk is just awesome house-party/dance music. He used to be the super hot thing when I was in Minneapolis. Feed the Animals is an absolute rager from start to finish. All sampled, all awesome.

I'm not much of a fan, but you can always check out MSTRKRFT.

For me the 90's dance stuff was all about The Chemical Bros:

But then these guys came along and REALLY baked my noodle:

Oh, and this is definitely not what I'd call a dance ALBUM, but this cover kicks arse:
