Unless you all decide to attack any builders who you think aren't "cool" enough. Lots of fantastic builders start out with clones. Maybe if you guys were a bit more open and friendly and encouraged any sort of interested user, we could see this guy grow into an original and innovative builder. Yeah, I doubt he'll come back now, since this forum has decided that its members are way too cool to accept anything but whats here already.

I think his pedals are cool I just want to know what they sound like.

Good example of a new builder we've accepted was theshoegazer who makes those shaker boxes, he had demos. I understand you've contacted this person, but I'm sure most of our argument is that he isn't backing up what he's saying at all.

Thanks for the kind words, I try to spread help after i've been helped in my DIY learning.

Hell I'd probably buy a few (especially a machine clone if one was offered for parts+labor).

If he sees that, I don't think i'l be the one in trouble, I think the person selling off outright clones in the title will be the main culprit lol, however I will PM you with a price for my Machina (the name of the pedal I designed that has the same tone but completely different design to a zvex machine circuit and is a homage to the smashing pumpkins album) tommorow after i've looked up the cost... not that I was ever here or exist...

Someone said he's claiming these designs as his own. He never did that. These are straight ZVEX clones and he admits it. He does it how he wants, and I think everyone needs to get the hell out of his post and let him do business. Unless he's broken the rules, then you need to all let him do business however he wants, without ruining his thread. I think moderators need to split this post and pull out all the bullcrap posts.

The website isn't hard to find either. You guys just wanted to jump on him, before doing any research. Wouldn't you google something if someone else came in selling something you hadn't heard of?


tl;dr version: Let the man do business and get out of his thread. You don't like his practices, don't buy them.

That's quite an thought provoking answer...

He isn't claiming these as his own no, he's out right lying about them being better versions than the origina's which I highly doubt they are, and he charges high prices at that.

If he wants to do business let him do it locally or on ebay, not spread it on a forum for another makers pedals (devi if you didn't know) I don't sell mine here even though I could if I wanted, out of respect.

And I respect many small business men, this guy who drops his name without even checking the forum I do not in the slightest.v

It just feels like he's is spam, do the marketing properly and come up with something original, that or charge a decent price to entice, I can't justify him, I've just offered to build for the parts and a few beers...

Of course I know this is devi's forum. And whether or not these pedals are any better cannot be proven. And his prices are still less than that of Vex.

He's free to do his business here, unless he ends up breaking some rule or Devi takes offense.

I really like Devi's pedals but its a shame the community around her is full of such meanspirited people. I'm not surprised that no new people stay around here.
