Rondo Music Guitars?

Post by theshoegazer »

SX, Agile, Douglas etc.

Anyone have experience with them?

I'm looking at their cheap SX Tele copies as a back up/alternate tuning guitar and the SX Lap Steel. They look great but how do the play/sound?

The Jazz and P copies have gotten good reviews over on Talkbass.
The consensus seems to be that they are well made and sound pretty good.

I've got an SX tele. Doesn't stay in tune for shit, and is a funky white color. But it sounds and plays pretty good. DEF worth the money.

What is the best way to battle tuning? :poke: Just a simple tuner replacement?

Tuner replacement was one of the things every body said to do.

Basically new tuners, bridge and decent strings. then what ever you felt like.

I might just have to pick one up. The lap steel looks great.

This one is sexy too.

I'm really considering a GFS SG kit for $149.

My Agile was a fantastic guitar for $200. Seriously.

Xavier looks nice too, though...

And I've had SX basses that were fantastic.

i had one of those ash 70s jazz bass copies, and it was SOOOOOO much nicer than any squier that costs 2x the price. only sold it to get a short scale version, which is now sold out unfortunately.

setup was not the best (but playable), and maybe you could upgrade the electronics...but even then you will have not spent that much.

dunno about the guitars personally, but someone i know has the agile 12-string and raves about it.
