IDK what they use, but it sounds great.

Aren't they from Boston?

Why don't you ask 'em?

Yeah, it's always nice when awesome musicians are local and you can bother 'em in person about their gear choices.

Cool. Thanks man. I'm kind of surprised they just use a straight Big Muff and that's it.

Yeah, I think sometimes we fuzz lovers tend to overthink our signal chain. Sometimes simple simply kills it. If it sounds good, go with it.

Because that's how I have mine set up... and it fucking SLAMS into my amp.. I imagine a tube amp sounding pretty much like the sound in the video, if hit with that.

I love the Russian/Sovtek tone, both of them really, green and black.

The best part was that the Black Russians got absolutely no love until they were discontinued.

I remember having a conversation with a dude at my local shop a while ago. Wanted to try an amp.

"Hey, is there any way I can grab a big muff to see how they work together?"

"Sure..." shuffle shuffle shuffle, stare stare "We only have the black one, though."

"That's cool with me."

Didn't end up with the amp, but I miss the days where you could snag a BR for $40 all day.
