Meet ya at the Cemetery Gates: The Smiths vs. Pantera

Post by fungalattack »

Sooooo metaaaal runs deep through my veins so naturally I enjoy pantera (sometimes as a guilty pleasure kind of deal) but lately the Smiths have been deeply resonating within me.
Both of these bands have wonderful songs entitled cemetery gates - which do you prefer and whyyyy?

On a dreaded sunny day, I feel like going were I am happy/wanted and gravely reading the tombstones.

Yap. As much as I like Pantera, and that song especially, I just adore Moz and Marr going on about WIlde, Keats, and Yeats. Music needs much more of that.

Keats and Yates are on Pantera's side but they lose because Wilde is on the smiths side! That is still one of my fav Pantera songs but Marrs guitar makes my ears orgasm everytime. And Morrissey being Morrissssssey!!!!!

The Smiiiiiiths. One of my favourite bands, and I don't really like metal, so this was hardly a difficult choice.

The Smiths. Pantera never clicked with me, maybe it's because I'm a miserable git?
