The band down the street.

Post by metalmariachi »

it's a quiet Saturday evening and the band down the street is practicing.

I haven't heard them since they all went away to collage.

They used to have kind of a punk garage band type sound, not very good but fun to listen to.

Today they have a new singer/harp player, and seem to be doing classic ('60s) covers.

Their playing is a bit better. The drums and bass are pulled back and the guitar and vocals more up front now.

And the sucked the life out of their band!

I miss the old raw energy of the original line up. There is no 'drummer goes insane for a minute or two', the bass player doesn't knock you down, the guitar player plays the right chords.

And NO FUZZ!

God help me I heard a Strat through a Fender with a TS-9.

They turned into an ”Old Guy” band.

Collage is killing our kids.

theres always nice-to-listen "old guy" music, hope they step out of mainstream classic rock and covers... and there are really good bands like Dungen, playing and recording with vintage stuff... you could trick your stoner uncles into listening new bands.
