AC15CC1 value?
What kind of trade value could I expect from a shop for my Vox AC15CC1 w/the stock Vox speakers with some cosmetic dings/possibly slightly stripped screws? Bought it in 2007.

Cool, cause I was going to trade it for a vintage Fender 75 that they had listed at $375.

Will depend on the shop as well, I've seen some that want to see *some* cash on every damn deal that walks in, or the used piece you want to trade on is a consignment, etc.
But yea, 325-400 seems like a fair range depending on market and demand.
Some places Vox sell like hotcakes, some they sit and gather dust forever.

Yeah, this store had two AC30s there and the guy said they specifically didn't have/could use an AC15.

I'd put it in the low 3's...the newer c1's with greenbacks go for 400-500.
$200 seems right for selling to a shop (which is a bad idea unless you are really hard up for the $$$/can't sell it)

craigslist. mine has the greenback, and I wouldn't take less than 400 for it. I don't think your version is worth half that. fucking guitar shops and their terrible offers

Re: AC15CC1 value?
Guitar shops sell that amp for $600 new, right? That means they buy it from Vox for maybe $400. That's a brand spankin' new one that they can sell for $600. Of course they aren't going to buy your used one for anything more than 1/2 of what they would spend on a new one. It isn't a low-ball or a terrible offer at all. It's business. If you want to sell something for what it's worth, you have to go direct on Craigslist or the forums. Selling to a shop is a last ditch way to get some cash before you throw something in the trash.
Anyway, good luck with the sale. I just moved to the Twin Cities and checked out Twin Town Guitars for the first time last week. They have some nice gear in there. And I was toying with the idea of trading my Bassman 50 head for an AC15 a little while back, but now it's lookin' like I'm in a project that needs the extra wattage.
