just picked up Roland SPD-S trigger bank/sound engine/sampler thingy for my drummer. hope it works out. it was on clearance at GC so they basicly through in the snare stand for it.

lol. AND i'm not gonna spend a lot of time with it. this one's got a busted pad on it. talked the guy at GC into me going up to the newer version, the SPD-SX (
http://www.rolandus.com/products/produc ... arentId=61 ) for about a hundy. been reading through the pdf manual and i think i'll like that one better anyways. more effects and a usb to computer plus a usb flash upload instead of a complact flash card makes me happy too.
so, gonna tweak out some of the kits and run this at practice tonight. if my boy digs it, i'll pay off (they have to order a new one) the newer version tomorrow.
