oog. just played that older Dean 6er i have. i... i don't like it. it feels WEIRD. the spacing of the frets is just awkward.

i have decided... that all non-fanned fret basses.... are doing it wrong. you should all convert. you should all convert RIGHT. FUCKING. NOW.

Little late on this, but Sgt Pepper was basically a milestone in modern recording, something that was basically considered impossible to do at the time. It basically blew everybody's mine as a technical and musical achievement. While all of it may not hold up perfectly today (I still think its fantastic), you have to put yourself back in that time and imagine how out of nowhere it was.

If you ever get the chance, there are a couple of fantastic books about recording the Beatles that go into this stuff at length.

fuck GOATS. goddamnit. i just dropped my fone and the screen is SHATTERED on the top half. more spiderweb than screen. i'm actually amazed the touchscreen still works everywhere. it is FUCKED.

sigh. i use an iPhone 3gs, been skipping each Sorta Inconsequential Upgrade and waiting for the 5, REALLY hope it comes out next month. still, all those silly memes about the Indestructible Nokia and Don't Look At Me Wrong Or I Break smart phones.... yeah, they're less sturdy. but this bugger IS 3 years old and i've dropped it dozens of times. it's SO wrecked now though. i can feel pieces of the screen being higher than others when i type. this WAS going to turn into my bedroom music center when i finally upgraded. not now probably.

This is one of the things that totally scares me about smartphones. This has happened to almost everyone I know that has one.

I still like the fact I can whip out my phone and dunk it in a glass of water. The Motorola Barrage is indestructible. I'd get an iphone, but ya know..... that money could be better spent on PEDLLLZZZ
