+1. The production is exactly the wrong thing for a band like High On Fire. Those songs are fucking bomb live.

I saw Slayer when I was a freshman in high school. Bookended that week with Sonic Youth at the same venue. Two shows that totally blew my teenage brain.

Lastly, I went to the Machine on a lark. They were fucking awesome, and played all of Dark Side as their second set. I don't like their jamming (Ruined cymbaline for me--on the other hand, they played fucking Cymbaline!) but when they're sticking to the note-for-note stuff you can close your eyes and never know the difference.*

*Full disclosure:I was very, very, high at that show.

I don't really like Metallica... except maybe a few songs.
But I really dig Motörhead
I've never been to a Motörhead show, but I've seen the Wacken 2011 Live Broadcast and it was quite the awesome :thumb:

Also- I've been to Vienna this last weekend, to see the Epica show: VIP Ticket FTW :!!!:
Very awesome guys and really nice. Plus hot awesome singer frontwoman. Go figure- awesome show :joy:
And FUCK my Camera in the BUTT!! Hard and painful! With sand and little razorblades... Stupid thing didn't focus so the pic of me with the band is blurry as fuck
Good Deals with: All these fine people!

Yesh. Any fan of straight up hard rock/metal should be a fan. Why? cause they do it the way it's supposed to be done, and don't fuck around.

I thought Snakes was kinda meh though...

I think they polished that one a bit too much, High on Fire should be left raw and dark.
De Vermiis was pretty good in my opinion.

I count myself lucky that I saw Pink Floyd three times in total; 2nd night of the L.A. 'The Wall' mini-tour (and I still have both the program and the t-shirt), and twice on the Pulse tour. And yeah...I was very sad when Rick passed and realized that it most likely meant the end of Pink Floyd.

Woop woop! I got to see Roger Waters when he was doing his Dark Side tour. It was pretty damn bad ass. They brought out the flying pig and everything.

That was a fantastic show. I heard the Wall tour may have actually outdone the Dark Side, actually, but I didn't go.

In other news, it's sort of NPD here. Ordered a Xerograph Deluxe from Prymaxe, got a standard Xero instead. Thankfully, they're super chill and said they'll make sure this gets taken care of.

Good God TB is slow these days on trades/sales. I hardly get any offers for anything I list. It's so weird! People don't have GAS these days?
