Re: Yo Bass Players, need your opinion!
I had a pedal similar to this, but it had the added phase switch and its knobs were WET, DRY, and DRY GAIN, So rather than just a ratio of 20/80 or 50/50 wet/dry, you actually had a bit more versatility and could crank wet and dry simultaneously, which sounds like it'd do the same thing, but trust me, it's more betterer.
It wasn't bad, but it took up too much space on my board, and I found that with the right pedals, you can pretty much avoid getting a blend pedal altogether.
For dirt, I use a Barber Small Fry Overdrive, which has excellent low-end retention (as do many of their pedals, the Trifecta Fuzz is SORELY UNDERRATED) and I also use the El Oso by Heavy Electronics, which has its own dry blend. Also have a custom fuzz from Devi waiting on my doorstep, but I can't attest to it yet.
Also, I run a Micro POG near the front of my chain, and I think what I'm going to ultimately do, is run two amps, and run a second line from the Micro POG's Dry Out to it.

Aside from the separate clean and wet channels, I don't see what benefit there would be over something like the Xotic X-Blender?

I'm betting the ToyRoom FX version will be smaller, look better and cost less than the Xotic.

So nothing in terms of usability?

Xotic has EQ and other things too..
Hmm I don't know... I have a Barge blender and don't like it very much, and have used a few pedals with blends built in and I don't like it as well as pedals I use and have used that have separate Dry and a Effect volumes.. just say'n

That's pretty sweet. And that's a HUGE difference. MAAAAAAAAAAAN, though....if it had two parallel loops....I would be so sold. It wouldn't be $70, then.....

Well the clean blend is the best when it's got a separate boost that can be §cranked sparkling hot, or a separate out put for it so there can be put a tad lighter overdrive. Or a Super Fuzz
In other cases, I just put a that Super Fuzz in front of everything so it's on the clean channel, and the fuzz channel gets loaded!

OKAY - dude, that's my kinda price range since I'm on more or less (but usually more) broke.
