vampires, werewolves and things that go bump in the night

Post by 1,2,3, Pull Out! »

You guys are gonna crucify me for this but I read the Twilight series and I don't understand what all the hate is about. I mean, yeah it's incredibly easy to make fun of overweight tweens who listen to MCR and read Twilight but that's got nothing to do with the books. I will admit I'm quite a hypocrite on the subject as I used to be all "UUGGGHHH you like those books??? FAGGIT!" But I always feel the need to judge things for myself, and it's actually a charming series...if you actually READ it you'll (probably) see how it isn't THAT bad, it's just stereotypes associated with it. Not that I'm saying they're AMAZING BUUUKKSS but they're decent. Personally if I want vampires I go with True Blood  .

Also: the movie sucked and if you didn't read the book it sucked times 10.

Cliche characters, cliche plot, weak female protagonist, terribly written. I've never read them, but that's what I've been informed of. I did crack one open to a random page and found many grammatical errors right off the bat. I go to school for writing, and it hurts my visual senses to read shit like that.

Most of this is true except that it doesn't necessarily make it "bad" I enjoyed it in the same way I enjoy cheap zombie movies; it's just mindless simple entertainment. The books are kind of like typical summer blockbusters, they're not intelligent or original but they ARE entertaining, IMO. I just like to sit back and not have to think every once in a while, ya know? Maybe I should stop talking about this... this is perhaps the most uncool thing I have done...EVER.

Lol amen too that (buffy gods), Buffy is my guilty pleasure, I haven't heard good things of twilight though and choose to ignore the whole thing in general.

I would like to point out that no matter how many vampires you throw at it Forks WA is not and will never be a interesting place, that is a fact and the idea that one can try to make Forks WA even remotely interesting is a abomination upon human and vampire kind as well as the state of Washington. That said it does have a semi nice Shell station.

I love Buffy.

I also liked Moonlight. Well I liked the cleaners on Moonlight.

And there was a similar British cop vamp show back in the '80s or '90s that I remember a little bit about but not a lot.

I've only ever been to Seattle and I loved it, all though it was kind of inconvenient considering I straighten my hair  . So I would imagine Forks would be like Seattle's weather in a shit little town like the one I live in. That makes me want to vomit  .
