Finally got to try out my Hoof Fuzz at practice last night. I believe I have found my Muff and fuzz of choice for my band. Now to figure out what to get etched on it...Any suggestions?

It'll never be a "board" pedal and I don't have the luxury to be keeping expensive studio pedals around. Even amazingly awesome limited rare ones that I totally went all emo over for about 6 months because I didn't have one. I would prefer one of you guys get it so that I can borrow it if/when I do go back into studio. You guys have first dibs if you swear on that. :)*

I dunno man, it would seem like you would really have to love phase and have some serious use for it to lay out that much cash and board space on a phaser. It would seem like a similar issue to what you have now with the Polygrace. Of course I have twice as many pedals as I need right now, so who am I to comment ;)

Suika is one i've thought about for a second dog. it's watermelon in Japanese.

that, and if i ever have a boy dog i'm going to name it Brock Motherfucking SAMPSON. BMS FTW.

"yes, Motherfucking is my dog's middle name. no, you're misspelling his last name. it's SAMPSON. with all caps."

Brock Sampson is a candidate for the Hoof rehouse for sure.

The Faye Sing is a bit different from other mods in that it plays so well with other effects...it's almost like it's built into the other effects. I'm thinking the Faye's Her should be the same way. It can do all of the subtle things that the Faye Sing is able to do. It's basically a Faye Sing plus a ton of stuff.

I'm hoping the Brain Freeze is the same. I haven't gotten the BEF Pro to where it plays with other effects so well that it sounds like one. You can clearly hear the fuzz and the envelope filter. Does that make any sense?

Story time!

My parents live on about an acre lot, and my dad decided that he wanted to have chickens. Still does, actually. Anyway, we had a batch of chickens that had been fattened up, and it came time to butcher them. The only problem is, they do that annoying flap after their throat is cut thing. So, my dad, being the man of ingenuity that he is, found a solution: nail a traffic cone upside down to a pole, cut the tip off the cone, and place chicken headfirst into the cone. Slit throat, chicken can't flap around, nothing. My friends now walk by that cone when we're over at my parents' and refer to it as "THE CONE OF DEATH."

The end.

About as brutal as these things are...

...these, for the non-home-owners here, are old-skool gopher traps. The upper one is shown set and is triggered when the gopher bumps into that flap-thingy w/the bar-code; the two L-shaped spikes snap up and impale the gopher's head. The lower one works the same way as a guillotine, except it has four (edit - six) spikes rather than a single blade and impales the whole body when triggered. My grandfather (who's house I now have) used these and they are still out in the garden shed. I'm scared to touch them.

I have never understood why the SPCA or similar has never gone after these things, some of which are still on the market. I remember Grandad pulling one of the upper traps out of a gopher hole when I was about 6 or 7 years old - the gopher was somehow still alive. I had nightmares for weeks.
