So you know on facebook it has like "recommended friends" and shit. Today I got the infamous Aen as a recommended friend, which I thought was pretty cool. Then I wondered...how the fuck does facebook determine who they're going to put there? I thought it was based on a shared number of friends or shared interests. We share 0 friends, I live in Jersey, I listen to obscure prog bands, and I don't mention fuzz or anything on my page.
Unless...Facebook watches what you do after you leave facebook...
HOW DOES IT KNOW I KNOW HIM?!! I DON'T FEEL SAFE!!
That's not even as creepy as the advertisements. Have you ever noticed that what you talk about in wall posts and such ends up appearing in the side-bar??? That's the one thing I hate about gmail, too.
I write a message and mention pedals or circuits, and sure enough, gmail's telling me to click on this builder or that who's advertising with them.
