I might be able to score a Ampeg B-25 on the cheap?

Post by dallasisacowboy »

Is it loud enough for gigging and such? I play pretty heavy music and I rely on pedals for the most part, so I'm covered there. I just need to know that it'll be able to handle basement/club gigs. Thanks in advance!

It might be if your guitarist and/or drummer are on the quieter side?

Since you say you play "pretty heavy music", I'd say "no".

I agree it won't be super loud if you are using it for Bass but I assume you are planning on using this for Guitar?
If that is the case, it is plenty loud for most any normal sized bar/club/house show.
I own one and they are great at taking pedals. Also, I haven't had any maintenance issues in 3-4 years.
Nice cleans too!

If you don't mind me asking...how cheap is on the cheap?

Oh, yeah, it'd be fine for guitar. Plenty loud. Those basement shows just make everything sound louder anyway.

Yeah, I'd be playing guitar through it! I'm glad to hear it'll be loud enough. The price should be somewhere around 250 with shipping.

Yeah, that's a good price if it's in decent condition.
