i think the guage of quality for a post-rock band is how unlike EITS they sound.

which nixes out 90% of all local level post rock bands, and like... 50% of the national/regional tour/support bands

imo genres "die" when they beocme a formula, and EITS p much formulated post-rock

though arguably the credit goes to Six Parts Seven, but EITS made it so that EVERYONE sounds like that

This is my current band, I'm playing bass and guitar in. This is a rough mix demo off our upcoming album, we're sorta post-rock (other tracks on the upcoming album more so then this one) but check it out...
