Using stereo pedals second jacks as an internal loop?

Post by hazelwould »

Like how ETI did in the other thread with the Behringer and wah.

Is that possible with all fully stereo pedals?

I'm wondering if that would work with the SMMH? I imagine running the particle in the loop would be amazing.

^Really? I thought throwing some modulation in there sounded pretty good.

Just remember you don't plug everything like it's a "loop" Guitar>InputA>OutputA>Loop pedals>input B>output B>.

Here are a couple more examples from ETI.

Self-oscillation:

Professor ETI explaining how to put wah and delay in between channels of a stereo bitcrusher (not feedback, but cool):

The self-oscillation one works because the ToneCore dock routes the input to both left and right channels.

I saw people doing that with the SMMH. Also interesting about a stereo pedal like the SMMH is to place the pedal at 2 places of the single chain..

Since it has stereo ins and outs you can go something like Guitar>SMMH Input/out A>Dirt>FUZZ>SMMH in/outB>modulation>amp.

I do this often with my DL8

An idea I had some time ago was to put either instance of the pedal in a TB loop, so you can have one OR two

I originally had this idea for a Pitchfactor. I tried talking to their customer support about firmware to be able to control the volumes of left and right channels, or be able to bypass just one. They were no help at all :(

I did the 2 places in the chain thing with my SMMH after stealing the idea from Eric, and it was super awesome. Never tried using the stereo in/outs as an internal loop though. Dang.

Well you basically are doing it already. Every pedal in between is like it's in that "internal loop."

I have found that two DL8s in a chain oscillate in a feedback loop much better than just one ;)
