Stereo spring reverb?

First, I'm just reviving an old post because I still haven't decided on a reverb pedal...
Anyway, I'm going/am full stereo now and I still don't have a reverb. I want a spring emulation too, I'm purty sure. I really like the spring part of my el capistan even though it's just an afterthought compared to rest of the pedal. But still, I want a dirty, spring reverb with stereo ins and outs. I loved my Ghost Echo a ton but sadly, no stereo. Same with the Malekko's, except I haven't owned one, they just sound good. I was set on the WET for a bit but I really dig spring for my style. Which BTDUBS is Modest Mouse, John Frusciante, lofi stuffs.
Any input on the spring settings of these? In no particular order.
EHX Cathedral (in #1 spot right now)
Boss RV-5
Hardwire whateverletters-number
TC Hall of Fame (had one of these before but didn't jive well. Still an option)
Blue Sky (a little too much going on here for what I want)
Eventide (same as above plus $200
Whatever else you can suggest. Or do you think two separate mono reverbs would work too? IDK!
And I know the Cathedral has a lot going on for it but I really like the first spring setting on it and the other one for just more options. Plus, flerb sounds deliciously gimmicky and I love flangers. See here viewtopic.php?f=149&t=26060

Honestly: Dr. Scientist RRR. There is no other reverb with as much "soul."

Check out a Tech 21 Boost R.V.B. if you can. They sound really nice.

What didn't you like about the Subdecay? It seems it would have covered your needs nicely.

The WET does in-the-background reverb exceedingly well though, but you may find it a little TOO in-the-background on the occasion that you want nothing but huge cavernous washes of reverb.

Man, I know that feel. I've gone through pretty much every verb and it's hard finding one that feels right for me. Maybe I should suck it up and stick to rack units I'm looking forward to see what the Strymon Flint can offer up though.

I agree on the van amps sole mate being pretty awesome, but have you tried the Iron Ether Nimbus? It sounds like exactly what you're looking for and handles lower bass notes quite well.

i think you need to admit to yourself that you need more than one reverb pedal. i love the Ghost Echo better than anything i've ever heard for the ambient air-and-space-in-the-sound never-turn-it-off verb, but that's really the only thing it does. on the other hand, most 'verbs that do spring emulations, trails, stunt reverb and stuff tend not to do regular subtle reverb that well in my experience.

the Wet and RRR are gonna come up most frequently. the Tech 21 boost RVB is vastly underrated. the new sub decay seems nice from demo's too

I use a Spring Theory and RRR and together they cover basically every base I could possibly want in a reverb. Although for a bit more than that you could just pick up a used Space and that SHOULD give you everything you need.

Sounds like the Wet is the ticket...it's a real "ambient" verb and has stereo.

I had the Hall of Fame and didn't like the sound of it that much and got the Ghost Echo. I loved it but wanted more but that was before I learned how to really use a delay. So I got the Spring Theory but just sold that because I didn't like the room setting. I felt like I spent half the price of it on the room setting that I didn't like. I've looked at all the offerings on pgs and prymaxe and the Solid Gold Surf I mentioned earlier sounds perfect for me. It's got a tone knob and a switch for "low" reverb pretty much. Does anyone have anything to say about it. There's not many people talking about it anywhere. And I think I've decided I don't mind about stereo. I don't actually have any stereo pedals right now but I had two on my list but I don't really feel that's enough to justify a second amp. So yeah.

The Tech 21 looks like it's got a little too much going on. I like a easy to set up reverb that I can move the depth or mix with my foot. The RRR sounds pretty awesome too.

You could always get a RV-3 or RV-5. as simple as you can get, and the modulated reverb on the rv5 is pretty awesome actually. If you really want to be an innovator around here, you could try out the source audio soundblox reverb. it's ugly as fuck, but it seems pretty powerful and it has some really cool features.

I know it's already been suggested and you'll probably get it suggested more, but Dr. Scientist Reverberator is really fantastic. I know some people who have gone for more complicated reverbs and then back to the RRR because the tone was so good. If all you need is a beautiful sounding simple verb the RRR will cover it, and if your needs ever change (you mentioned the more ambient thing) the RRR has a ton of options there too.

I really, really love mine. I never thought of myself as a reverb guy, but it's on almost all the time for me now.
