Pedals Like El Capistan... Do They Exist?

as good as the EL Cap is, the RE-20 is half the price used, and it's a half decent pedal

For some reason I like the sound of the El Cap a lot better (sounds warmer to me), plus it has a smaller footprint, and I think it has controls that are more useful (at least to me).

Plus you get that sexay looper. It's basically one of the best tape delay emulations plus the Lo-Fi Loop Junky...with dubbing!

Yes yes yes! The El Cap has five knobs each with secondary functions, two toggle switches with three settings each, tap tempo, and a built in looper. I'd say that's a pretty good bang for the buck!

If I was forced to use only two pedals ever, it'd be the Big Muff and El Cap. I could lose all my other delays (and I have a few) and be perfectly happy. Highest recommendation if you can come up with the scratch for it.

I didn't have the chance to try one but on the demos it always sounded to me like having a chorus-y halo on the repeats..

Is iy true? Or maybe is just the added reverb? Skreddy Echo, for example, seems to have much more "dry" repeats.

Probably just the built in spring reverb which is one of the secondary functions. Beautiful sounding effect and a modern day classic pedal. Just unlike anything else available. The first time you use it is just Don't think I've turned mine off since I bought it. SS/BS Fuck and my El Cap and I'm super happy.

I loved my El Cap and kind of impulsively traded it, but not having it gives me an excuse to try some other delays and see what else might work for me. I know that one sure did.

On the long end of the spectrum 10 weeks, the short end is three to six weeks. So three to ten weeks, lol.
