yah. we used a newish MacBook in the last band i was in. seemed to work a'ight even though the singer used it all the time as a personal computer too.

problem is....... i....... hate the Mac OS. and have spent enough time dicking around in Windows to be decent at troubleshooting problems.

lol. and spending so much less on more specs appeals to me too. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

u cant use the same kontakt license on more than one comp? i know u can do this w/ maschine.

you can. and that is GOOD.

i got a decent HP, set up Komplete and Cubase on it, works BEAUTIFULLY. ended up dropping $620 on it total, $400 for the laptop, $220 for another NI6 audio interface. couldna be happier so far. just WORKS. exactly what i was hoping for.

Glad it worked for you, my only experience with hardware samplers was watching a stoned on crack Warren Zevon rip a Roland one to bits when it malfunctioned on stage in the early 90s.

Hardware can fail too, even the best of it (even though it's come a long long way since those days).

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.
