ridiculous metal distortion pedals

Post by WeHuntKings »

does anyone have a favorite? doesn't have to be fancy...the only one i've played is the hm-2, and i have much love for that thing. really want another one...my bassy fuzz is good for the sludgey stuff but i kinda want a trashy nails on chalkboard/crazy black metal in a basement type thing, too.

If you're willing to go rackmount, the secret weapon is a Boss GL-100. Many, many analog circuits in a two-channel beast.
Imagine your HM-2 had multiple parametric EQs to set the ugly spot and a huge EQ section, along with a second channel.

It goes to nails on chalkboard, I wish I didn't break my Bee-baa bad.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I think you should try the Digitech Death Metal pedal, pretty gross and cool.

The Grunge/Death Metal pedals (Same circuit, different EQ) are so terrible they're awesome.

It's actually sorta weird that smaller builders haven't based some over-the-top distortions on them...

The Emma Psidyaut, or something, is really awesome, so is the Wampler triple wreck.

Maybe 'cause done to death? Allowing for eq variations, same thing as Boss Metal Zone,Danelectro Fabtone Distortion and Fab Metal (and probably some Dan-O Cool Cat variant), and the Fender Starcaster Distortion.

I had the Fab Metal for a while. Nice for fun but I didn't hesitate to trade it. But they are ridiculously cheap new, maybe cheaper used.

The most ridiculous metal distortion I've ever heard is the Landmine LD-1. It's not versatile at all, but damn if it isn't crushing.

agree on Emma Pisdiyauwot. Elements is very cool as well, too bad it didn't like my active bass.

My metal core sounds like dimebag.
