Re: Effectsdatabase Interview with Taylor
I am a little hesitant to read what I wrote! I have never been too comfortable with marketing-speak, and prefer to let the pedals speak for themselves rather than hyping them up. But hopefully it is interesting or informative to somebody. If anybody ever has questions along these lines, feel free to ask on this forum, or via email (info@ironether.com).

Nice!
"Are you working on any new pedals?
We currently have several pedals in development, which in my humble opinion are pretty exciting, but unfortunately I have to keep quiet about them for now. I can say that I am pretty excited about them, and that they are nothing like anything you might expect."
That's the best part.
That's some very good news.

Don't worry, Taylor, you're doing a pretty good job so far.

Thanks guys, and thanks again for the opportunity, Bart! It's a cool project, and I have been reading some of the other interviews to get to know a little more about the other cool builders out there.

Re: Effectsdatabase Interview with Taylor
Don't worry, you came across as a dude who makes cool shit more than a dude who sells cool shit. Not that I'll understand a thing about it yet, but I'm hoping to get into pedal building once I have more school stuff out of the way; how can I learn more about/how to do the relay bypass you talked about?

Re: Effectsdatabase Interview with Taylor
Actually, I think there was a section in the interview about my advice to aspiring builders, but it looks like that didn't make it to the final edit.
I don't know of any stompbox-specific info on relays (there might be an article on Geofex.com) but if you google relays you should be able to find all the info you need, read some datasheets, etc. There are lots of ways to do it, from just a switch and a relay, to 40XX logic, transistor drivers and microcontrollers, and they are all valid depending on the other circumstances of the build. Once you learn a bit more about electronics in general, and have a circuit that you are working on, the details of that particular build will influence what path to take.

That part will be used for a big article based on all the answers to that question

Maybe I should still have included it in all the interviews...
