i literally did this the same day as you. love the LPPPP

HOLY CRAP! I didn't know anyone else who actually uses the LP!!!!

:hello:

we can be LP brothers! :!!!:

i really love how fat and bassy the LP is. its surprisingly been one of my favorite devi's, and i've had a lot of them over the years, but the LP and the ND are the two that I think will never leave me.

I also have an LP. I decided to try and mod it to a switchable EB/LP at one point, and it was my first mod attempt. I screwed it up. Now I have an EB in an LP case :(

I've had quite a few of devi's, and the LP has survived the years! i AM kind of gassing for an EB, and I got a KP cicruit put into a custom pedal pedal... I just really love her fuzz-OD's... so yummy

i moved stuff again...i realized that with the RV-3 i already had the option of reverb before modulation, so i put the Ghost Echo back after the flanger/chorus so i can have cleaner vs. dirtier modulation. i also put the tuner between the trem and the DiscumBOBulator, where it cuts off the fuzz and RV-3 when engaged and is up on the right top corner of the board and is more accessible, and moved the Velcroar all the way to the end after the compressor where it can demolish everything. i think i now have the maximum number of options i want re: slicing and dicing things in different orders with the boxes i have...i have several points i can patch in the Phase 100, and i think i know where i'll put the RR when i can afford it.

So if I'm reading all this right a tuner can act as sorta a break in the chain, yeah?

Nope, no hiccup, that's why I said it's just an EB now. Devi told me how to mod it, you just have to pull one transistor and put it on a 3pdt switch. No matter what I did, I could not get the transistor out. I tried everything, braid, solder sucker. While trying to remove it, I snapped one of the legs of the transistor, and it stuck in the board. Now, no matter what I do, I can't get that snapped off leg out of the board.

yes, if it's a tuner that mutes while you tune.

time to get out the tiny drill bit and drill that puppy out. or use a little bitty flat-bladed screwdriver as a reamer. with patience and persistence the elephant fucks the ant.

It's the tiniest damned hole I've ever seen in a circuit board. I definitely don't have a drill bit that small, which means I'll totally ruin the solder pad. Believe me, I've tried every damn thing I can think of.

Have you tried adding more solder before sucking it?

Or pushing a component lead through the pad. Or pulling the lead with pliers while heating the pad.

Yeah I did try that, though maybe I'll give it another shot.

Scruffie wrote:Or pushing a component lead through the pad.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried, wouldn't budge.

Scruffie wrote: Or pulling the lead with pliers while heating the pad.

It broke off flush with the board, and was trimmed flush with the board on the other side, so there's nothing to pull on.

I kinda just gave up on it, but maybe if I can flood it with enough solder and then try to jam something through, maybe it'll work.

Tuner>Compressor/Octave>Modulation>Distortion/Fuzz>Volume>Delay/Reverb
The fuzz might have to be nearer the front of the chain though.
