Just grabbed this off my local list for $60 An El Degas -- I think it's Korean -- violin bass. Short scale, hollow body. It's got a broken machine head, but it'll be pretty cool once I fix that. Going to put some flats on it too.
Good deals done with all these guys Canada, we put the "u" in satire
Nice score Dev, I've got a bit of a thing for old El Degas guitars myself. It can be really hard to find any information on them though, head on over to http://www.eldegas.com/forum/, they might be able to figure something out.
Edit: Looks like you found your way to the El Degas forums without my help.

Thanks -- yes I did find that place. I'm running with the hypothesis that it's Korean, 80s/90s. It needs a thorough cleanup though, so that might turn up some info. I still think it's cool though.

woot! my EQD Organizer just hit the local store made of AWESOME that is holding one from their first order for me. i'm pretty damn excited about this little guy. looks like it might do the stuff from the Rainbow Machine i liked and/or the stuff from the Pog family that i'm interested in but want nothing to do with EHX because fuck EHX.
MAN i can't wait until i'm big and famous enough to get any endorsement deal i want so i can sign with EHX then ask one of you guys to start spamming every vile and hateful thing i've said about them. gonna be BOSS.

Not sure if Paranoid Android is clouding my judgement... I need a new phaser, but not sure where to go. The PH-3 has turned me off to phasers for a while... There's the Faye's Her coming out soon, or just the Faye Sing. Fuck.
Either way I heard the Stereo Wet again today, and I'm not sure if I'm going to replace my Space with that or the RRR. I've loved the RRR for a few years now, but damn this thing sounds awesome: thick and really ethereal at extreme settings.
