Ah, my favorite!

A bit of a stretch, but KTL has always been my favorite in melding noise/doom/black metal.
Gnaw Their Tongues
Furze is really interesting black metal and usually pretty slow paced
Bloody Panda's newest album has some black metal elements to it
people gon' hate, but I've always dug how dirgy Velvet Cocoon was
Whitehorse is doom, but they have black metal elements

Tombs, if you don't already rock to them. Not really that black but very atmospheric/depressive. I also really dig Oranssi Pazuzu for melding Black Metal with weird atmospheric elements/Dub/Surf Guitar!? and actually making it sound pretty natural, but they aren't very depressive. Oh yeah, and Planks are awesome.

Depending on how fast & loose you're playing with the "black" part, check out Ocean's last album Pantheon of the Lesser

The first side (The Beacon) has the chick from Bloody Panda on vocals, and is probably the best jam this genre's had to offer in the last five years.
good deals are here.

OCEAN. YES. I used to 'Here Where Nothing Grows' at least once a day. Top notch stuff. Heavy as hell.

yeah, i realize og black metal is satanic or whatever...not really into the first or second wave so much. nortt and ktl both have the sound quality i am looking for... i will listen to rest of this stuff tomorrow so as not to disturb anyone here

so tombs and planks are both pretty badass...both are very much like isis/neurosis in the best ways. not quite what i was looking for, but great nonetheless. and that oranssi stuff is totally bizarre...love it.

alcest is a little clean sounding for my tastes, if that makes sense...

still deciding about this...like the operatic vocals in spite of myself.
