i only ever read that forum for humortainment. it's like Bizarro World for musicians, a place where i seemingly have nothing in common with anyone at all. i can imagine how i'd get killed over there for saying i don't like e.g. Victoria amps (which i think are boring).

i still want cigarettes regularly, and i quit in 1999. i miss playing with them, sucking on them, tapping the cigarette on the table-top to tamp the tobacco down, all the little rituals that go along with smoking. it gave me things to occupy my time and attention, which helped to alleviate my natural nervousness and ADD tendencies. unfortunately, they started giving me chronic bronchitis so bad that i had to stop.

Fell asleep for half an hour on my knees, torso supported by the bottom of the chair, face smashed against the back of it, with my arm above my head hanging onto the mouse.

I'm usually in a zombie-like state because the only time I ever feel like doing anything (especially anything creative) is like 2 AM, doesn't matter how early I have to get up.

I can't stop thinking about gear. I've got a reverb unit on the way and one of two different used amps in the area that will be mine. Problem is, I've got to wait for tax returns and hope they're enough.

And I have a Phantom Ring that would go to the right trade.

i should be getting a great honking tax refund. naturally, i'm massively tempted to go on a gear spree even though i have enormous debts i need to retire and i really need to get my truck fixed. the farthest i'm probably going to get is a Rangemaster and a Randy's Revenge, maybe a Jerry Cantrell wah if i feel really adventurous. if i wind up with a big refund, maybe i'll be able to get my 335 fixed at long last.

Yeah, I feel like it's cleansing.
Is it a self-conscious thing, stopping right when you start?

I don't know. Think it's some sort of reflex. I still feel like crying strongly, but the tears just back up at one point. It's really a bad feeling when it happens.
