Wait. You have pancake mix over there now? Or is it palacinki? Because that would go much better with wine. ;)

And maz, this is all you need:

Woke up, started eating nutella right away. I feel ready to start my day now. Mostly.

I hate this whole getting up at 5:30 thing, though. I'm thinking I might try to be more regular about it, and just jog on days I'm not working.

I will (probably) perform a yet to be found graphic score with an ensemble I can put together myself in a renowned cologne music festival. I feel successful.

phantasmagorovich, I've always wanted to ask you, why do you use the English instead of Köln?

I always forget to use the English version when talking to other Americans. My friends and family never know what the fuck I'm talking about when I tell a story about some weekend I spent in München.

odd that German placenames are so mangled, but not Dutch ones even though the two languages are so related.

Is it just me or does anyone else understand "foreign" languages until you realize that you're understanding them and then you don't anymore? I think it's a product of growing up in a household that spoke almost exclusively Italian, with a little Spanish, and German. I never learned any of them myself for some reason, but I find that I have little to no difficulty reading Latin, or most Western languages up until I realize that I am and then I can't anymore. Sometimes when I'm drunk some thoughts pop into my head in Italian instead of English. There have been times when I have flipped to a channel that's in Spanish on TV and I didn't realize for several minutes.
