hmm weeell, this might be a little more on the noisecore side but frankly I don't really understand what defines grindcore or powerviolence or noisecore or whatever you want to call it. It all just sounds like noise to me... in a good way.

I really like:
XBXRX
The Locust
AIDS Wolf
Melt Banana

This post might be completely irrelevant. I don't even know.
Clockwork Towns: Like grandma's homemade chicken soup, lovingly made with just a hint of sulphuric acid.

Napalm Death's scum rocks my socks off. the simplicity. The two-string guitar. The BLAST BEATS by Mick are really inspiring to me. His ride-crash alternation is wonderful

And Impetigo!

And, most importantly, Repulsion!!!
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

Does anyone have more metal cred than J. Broads?

Aside from reanimated Chuck Shuldinger and Zombie Dio? (maybe)

Iron Lung are easily one of the best live bands ever. And funniest. Their drummer's noise thing, Pig Heart Transplant, is well worth checking out.

Saw them at Deathfest two years ago. Fucking hilarious.

Walls, the drummers hardcore/nowave side project is fucking killer live too.

And I second the PHT notion!
